What separates Coach Mike from every other coach my son has had is their focus on developing people, not just players. It's more than learning hockey and great drills, it's about leadership, resilience, and teamwork. Couldn't be more grateful.
Coach Mike brings a strong presence to the rink and a lot of experience that shows in how he approaches the game. He’s very detail-oriented and expects players to do things the right way, which really helps raise the overall standard. What really stands out, though, is how personal he is with the kids—he takes the time to actually get to know them, checks in with them, and builds real relationships, not just coach-player interactions. The kids respond to that and respect him because they know he genuinely cares about them as individuals. At the same time, he’s direct and honest, so they always understand where they stand and what they need to work on. That mix of personal connection and accountability makes a big impact.
